From 18 to 20 October, St. Petersburg is hosting the most important event in the transport industry - the V International Innovative Forum for Passenger Transport SmartTRANSPORT, which includes a business and exhibition program.

The event is aimed at discussing topical problems of the industry and demonstrating innovative technologies to improve urban transport infrastructure.

One of the key section at the forum was dedicated to “Development trends of intelligent transport systems (ITS). Goals of development of transport systems ”, at which the Managing Director for the Development of Intelligent Control Systems of JSC“ Transmashholding ”and the head of LLC“ LocoTech-Signal ”Andrey Romanchikov spoke.

He spoke about the holding's experience in creating the Machine Vision technology and how it can be used to solve urgent problems of urban rail transport.

Within the framework of the exhibition, a Memorandum of Cooperation in the development and delivery of solutions for traffic control and rolling stock was signed between LocoTech-Signal LLC and the Scientific Research Institute of Precision Mechanics JSC. The heads of the organizations Andrey Romanchikov and Oleg Antonov put their signatures.

The document presupposes the development of mutually beneficial cooperation aimed at promoting products and implementing projects in the field of traffic management of subways, light metro, trams and monorails on the territory of the Russian Federation, the CIS countries and other countries of the world.
